Oh Dear, Oh Dear, Oh Dear! My last post was written 10 days ago!! Quite shameful really? :P BUT I do have a half decent excuse, and that is this week I have been on Work Experience, and had one of the best weeks of my life!
This week I have been working in a Hospital. When I am older I really want a job in the medical career, possibly Midwifery, and so I decided that a job in the Hospital would be really great for this! Unfortunately, because of my age, getting experience is rather hard, so after failing to get experience in the Midwifery section, I decided that I would get experience working with Medical Equipment. It was even better because I was working with a friend!
The 1st day I was absolutely petrified! But the medical equipment team made us feel warm and welcome and soon we fitted in, and I loved every minute of it!
We had lots of jobs to do, which were:
-Take medical equipment to different wards, when they asked us for things
-Collect medical equipment when they had finished
-Clean the equipment
-Store the information on an online database, and write it in the books
It was soo much fun because we got to go to all the different wards! The 1st ward we went to was Surgery, and Recovery!! and we saw Intensive Care.
It sounds crazy, but I felt really at home in the Hospital, and I absolutely LOVED it. I don't want to go back to school!!
And also it's really made me re-think about my future. Although I am still considering Midwifery, I also have a keen interest for becoming a Doctor. I'm not sure if I could do it or not, but what I do know is:
"Commit everything to the Lord. Trust him to help you do it, and he will" - Psalm 37:5
"For nothing is Impossible with God" - Luke 1:37
I will definately be praying for the Future! And to be completely honest, I am extreemly excited about it!

ReplyDeleteI am looking into a carrer in the medical field also! :D I'll probably more of a doctor's office nurse though than someone who works in a hospital. I honestly would be bawling my eyes out at every hurt person who comes in the door :P I have a soft heart towards injured people and/or animals but hey, maybe God will help me with that :)
